At the beginning of this year I set some new goals, which many of us do. Then I realized that I was not always living as if my goals were already achieved. It was as if I would not be happy, safe or secure until the goals had been met. This is not the best way to live a good life.
I believe the best way to live a good life, is to know where you want to go and then really enjoy the journey.
Have fun, no matter whether your goals have been met or not. Live your life as if you are where you want to be…because guess what? You are where you are. And you will always be in this same place no matter whether you have met your goals or not.
If you are unhappy with your life, reaching your goal will not suddenly and magically make you happy. Maybe you have already noticed this. You want to get a good education, get married, have children, have so much in the bank account….and if all these achievements have made you happy then that is wonderful.
Many of us do not find happiness however when we reach our goals. We set the goal and wait until we get it….forgetting that the journey to the goal is the life. Where you are right now is your life. Life it with fun and vigour. Do your best every day. Do everything that needs to be done today and be happy that you have done it. Don’t overwork yourself or do more than you need to do today. Tomorrow will be ready for tomorrow’s work. Today be where you are and have fun. Rock N Roll Jeff

I’m looking out at a frozen lake covered with snow. It’s icy and cold outside and yet there are these squirrels leaping from branch to branch high above my office. I’m reminded that no matter what is going on, things are always happening. No matter how cold the weather, people are out on the roads clearing the snow and scattering salt. No matter how cold it is, people are collecting garbage and doing their job. And that’s what life is about–doing what is necessary to keep going; to do our job and to do it to the best of our ability.
It’s not about working too hard, or overworking or working at a job that we don’t like. It’s about taking the right action and being great about it. It’s about going with the flow and travelling downstream instead of battling upstream against the flow of your life. If you work with other people, be great with them. If you work in isolation, reward yourself at the end of each day. The reward could be as simple as reading a good book, watching a great TV program, or catching up with people.
The idea of this life is to have a happy life. Do what you need to do and enjoy what you do. When you have to do something that you don’t like to do; do it and do it well, then concentrate on the things that you are good at. I wish you all the very best in this good life. Rock N Roll Jeff

How many times have I sat and thought about great ideas? Sat and thought about the way life should be led. Sat and thought about my family and friends and what I should be doing with them? How many times have I sat and thought about my business?
Sitting and thinking has a real value; and looking at one’s life is important. The amazing thing that I’ve found though, is that when I take action, that’s when things really start to happen. Action is the key word of life. We have to take our thoughts and put them into tangible, workable outcomes.
To get that feeling of being worthwhile and achieving something I must take action upon my thoughts. I must pick up the phone, I must see that person face to face. I must go to that meeting. Taking action is the most satsifying thing I can do as a human bieng because then I have accomplished something. So lets take action today and every day to make a difference. Rock N Roll. Jeff

In this interesting time in which we live, optimism shines a light through the fog of worry, indecision and scarcity. When you are optimistic about your life, your family, your work and your spiritual wellbeing, there seems to be a connection to the outside world.
And through that optimism, amazing things start to happen. I know from my own experience that this is true. Our company has gone through a recession like many others. contracts have been cancelled, or postponed, and through it all we have retained this optimism…this feeling that everything is well and will continue to be well.
And because of this optimism, new doors have opened to us; our optimism has sparked new ideas and new ways of thinking about our business. This in turn has caused new business to happen; new clients, and new programs. So remember this, “thoughts held in mind produce after their kind.” Whatever you are thinking creates your life being that way.
Think optimistically and all doors will open to you. Think of the good things in life and you will see good things happen. Think of all that is well and all things well will come to you. Turn away from defeat, fear and worry and turn to optimism, joy and happiness. Rock ‘N Roll Jeff Gee
