Fear is at the bottom on this interesting time we’re going through with money, jobs and security. When the stockmarket crashes, the money goes to a few people who were lucky enough to get out in time. And now that money is sitting in bank accounts, or some other finanical investment. The money hasn’t disappeared off the face of the planet. It’s still here….it just isn’t circulating. Banks are not lending to other banks, and the people with the money are not circulating it. So we, the ones in the middle can’t get hold of it.
And at the bottom of all this is fear. Fear of losing money. Fear of losing jobs and fear of losing security, pensions, savings….fear of ending up in a cardboard box on a park bench with no money and no food.
The only way out of this mess is to give ourselves an antidote….and that is love. The oppositie of fear is love. It is written all through the bible and any other spiritual book, “fear not!” “Love yourself, love your neighbor, love your life.
So today, and throughout this season of thanksgiving, fear not. Love yourself, love your neighbor, friends, family, co-worker, customer, boss. Love the stranger on the street, in the store. Love is the antidote of fear, and it starts with each one of us. Rock N Roll Val & Jeff

If you have a dream, then dream on. I’ve come to the conclusion that the world is divided into people who have dreams, passions and goals, and those who do not. If you are reading this blog, then you are someone who has a dream, because you’re searching. Looking for answers–trying to make sense of this wierd and wonderful world.
What did you dream of when you were a child? What were your aspirations in school, in college? What brings a gleam to your eye? What do you enjoy talking about when you are at a party and find yourself talking to a stranger. What is it that makes you come alive?
Whatever it is, do a little of it every day. If it is writing, as it is for me, write just a little bit every day. If it is singing, sing every day in the shower, or in the car, or join a choir and sing with other people. Whatever it is that stirs your heart keep on doing it. It is vital to living a happy, joy filled life. Rock N Roll Val & Jeff
