Focus
August 31st, 2007
It’s not always easy to focus on what people are saying, especially if we know that person well. We think we have heard it before, or we know what they are going to say before they say it, and we turn off. We do that even with really interesting people too, because it is so hard to concentrate our minds to be still and to listen.
The great thing is that there is a solution to this problem. Take a breath and bring your mind back to the moment. Even in the middle of someone talking, as soon as you realize that your mind has wandered, just take a breath in and focus back onto what they are saying. Do this all day today and make it into a habit. Being in the moment is about living life to the full. Being in your head is about making stuff up. As always, it’s your choice. Live in your head in the past or future, or live in the real moment now. Rock N Roll Jeff & Val
