Smile
July 26th, 2007
SmilingĀ is such a simple thing. All we need to do is rearrange a few muscles in the face. We don’tĀ even having to think about which muscles; just the thought to smile and everything automatically turns up. Our eyes light up, we feel good, the people who the smile is directed towards feels good. It is the most basic communication and possibly the most powerful one.
So why don’t we do it more? I think it is about having the awareness to do it. So today, become aware of how you greet people, or how you walk about. How do you look? Are you approachable? Do you look friendly? Are you someone who generates grace, openness, trust and amazing service? Smiling will not only make you feel better, it will open doors for you and pull everything in your life up a notch.
So smile, smile and smile. You know one time I was told by a teacher to “wipe that silly smile off your face!” I don’t think he really knew what he was saying. If he had known how powerful a smile can be he would have most likely smiled back at me and I would have been a much better student as a result. So again….smile! It really is the magic ingredient for outstanding communicaton. And hears the kicker–it even works over the phone. Rock N Roll Jeff & Val
