We got an email one time from a guy who had just gotten back from vacation and wrote, “It’s really hard getting back into the swing of things–I just want to be back on vacation.” And we wrote back something motivational about how it’s a choice, and that we all have to work to enable us to go on vacation. Well, it’s just hit me right in the face–because I’ve just been on vacation and it really is hard getting back into the swing of things.
So after a day of re-grouping I realize that it really is a choice. I can be grumpy and fed up with my work, or I can make the choice to be happy and do the work that I agreed to do. I can make my life a struggle and moan about it to everyone I meet, or I can make my life a wonderful thing and create happiness, joy and peace everywhere I go. And here is the great thing I realized today–it doesn’t matter how long I have gone down a particular road, I can choose at any time to make a detour, take a different route or just stop in my tracks. It’s my life and it’s always up to me to make of it what I will. Happy making! Rock N Roll Val

Isn’t it amazing how the weather can affect everything and everyone! Today, I’m sitting here and the sun is out and even though it’s still so cold, I feel so warm seeing that sun finally shine. Now, I know we’re not at the mercy of the weather, and on those cold, blistery days I do find it harder to keep my pecker up! So how do I bottle the sunshine - that’s all I really need!
For me - and you’ve heard this before - it’s reaching for just that better feeling thought. So on those cold to the bone days, I have to reach for the thought that it will be sunny again someday soon! And when I shift to that thought, I get a little bit of the warmth that the sunshine brings me. And with that little taste of warmness, I can reach for another thought - ooohh, yes…soon I’ll be walking on the lake path and the sun will be beating down. Soon I’ll have to wear my sunglasses every day. And then I’m there - I’ve found my own sunshine and nothing seems so bleak anymore!
Reach for your sunshine! It feels so good.

I know we’ve all heard this before and yet it rings so true. When I am being great, others will be great back to me! I had an experience earlier today when the customer service person was obviously in a bad mood. The person right before me in line was not given good service. Now there’s this little part of me that wants to teach the customer service person a lesson…and I know when I’ve done that it the past it doesn’t work. No one wants to be told what to do, especially someone who’s grumpy and just fed up. So I was just great to her. And not in an over-the-top kind of way. I was just me…being great to another person.
And, you guessed it, she was wonderful right back to me. It’s that simple, if we are great, we can only get greatness back. My life reflects exactly what I put out there. So give greatness to all, especially yourself and see more miracles in your life.
