Going for a Walk

It’s a beautiful day and Val and I went for a walk in the forest preserve. If you have time for a walk out in nature, take the opportunity to do it. It’s so refeshing and uplifting. It really does wake up the spirit and shake off all the negative thoughts.

So today, if you can take a walk, go for it. Rock N Roll Jeff

Nothing is so Urgent

Whenever you get anxious or stressed out because other people are trying to pressure you into making a decision or finishing something off..stop and take a couple or three breaths. Deep cleansing breaths that renew and refresh your spirit. Nothing is so urgent that it has to be done right now.

I know it sounds crazy in a world where everything seems to run so fast, yet it’s true, nothing is so urgent that it needs to make you feel stressed out. Unless someone is choking to death right in front of you, you do not have to make a decision without taking some time, if you need to, to think about the consequences of the action.

Of course, if your boss asks you to do something, you want to get it done as fast as possible. But even then, you want to do it right. You want to feel good about what you are doing and above all, you want to feel good about yourself. So for now…nothing is so urgent that it has to take away your happiness and joy of living. Every Day is a New Start

I am off to Philadelphia today to do a keynote at a Motorola dealership, so I have to make it short….

What is important to say today is, that it doesn’t matter what is going on in your life… every day, and every moment is a new opportunity to begin again, to start afresh and to take advantage of new opportunities. So where ever you are in your life, and what ever is happening–take a couple of breaths and remember that life is to be enjoyed. Be happy now, and create your life right now, exactly the way you want it to be. Rock N Roll Jeff

Vaccinations and My Experience

I had to go to the clinic today for several injections for my trip to Nigeria. I sat and talked with a very interesting doctor who gave me lots of information about all of the diseases prevalent in Nigeria.

It was interesting to hear all this information about how easily I could die there. With these virulent diseases like Yellow Fever, Typhoid, and Maleria etc. I then had to have four separate injections, which went quite easily. Yet it was strange that the doctors and nurses took all of this for granted, as though we were just shopping for a meal.

I think lots of people would be scared or fearful, yet I realized that all I had to do was to be present and in the now, and all me fears, worries and concerns went away. I could enjoy my conversation with the doctor. Joke with the nurse about which arm would be injected for two of them, and which arm for the other two injections. I actually had a great time!

I am going to practice being in the now, for as long as I can be in the now, now, now, now, now. Rock N Roll Jeff

In the Now

The best way to be in the now is to stop, take a breath and look around you. What’s going on? What colors do you see? What do you notice? Look for as many things that you can see, to remind you that there is nothing going on except being in the now.

Also, and this is really important. When good things happen, harvest them. “Oooh this is good. I am loving this. This feels great!”

The whole point of this life is …. what? To choose to suffer? To choose to be unhappy? To choose to hate people, situations and events?  NO!. The whole point of your life is to choose to let things be and then be happy. If something is fearful for you….step into the fear and enjoy the energy. There is nothing going on except the now. Music

Last night we went to a musical and inspirational celebration. And for an hour and a half, I was transported into this amazing state of well-being. Music does soothe the savage beast. These were young musicians and singers coming from their heart, and I felt that all was well with the world. I want to make sure that I can hold that feeling and remember that feeling for every situation that will arise in my life: the good, the bad and the ugly. That I remember that inside of me is the amazing, loving person who does not have to get plugged in, to anything or anyone. And to understand that the time that we are on this planet is for love, forgiveness, joy and understanding. Rock N Roll Jeff

Life keeps Lifeing

One of our friends sisters died yesterday and I offered our sympathy and love for those left behind who have to mourn and also to remember the great times they had together with her.

At the same time a couple we know at our church had a healthy baby boy.Yes life keeps lifeing no matter what.

The human spirit is capable of coping with the ups and downs of life and to do it from an amazing space.

Always remember you are amazing.

Spring is sprung

Spring is here, the buds are opening, flowers are blooming and the grass is green. It’s exciting to have a new look at life. For months we’ve been seeing the snow, wind and rain lashing around us; now it’s time to wake up and be revitalized. To end the trance and become an amazing human being.

This morning I had this wonderful opportunity to talk with potential new clients, and their enthusiasm and willingness to change the way they do business was so refreshing. I walked away from that meeting feeling that everything is possible; there are no limitations to what we can do. Rock N Roll Jeff

Life, Love, Laughter and Beyond

Jeff and I just completed the first part of a workshop that we gave at Unity Church. It was really great. The people really went for it and we all experienced a big shift in the way that we viewed our lives. We are delivering the second part of the workshop next week. Can’t wait. Val & Jeff

Being Grateful

I sometimes forget to be grateful and when I do; it’s because I’ve gone to the dark side for a moment. I may be listening to the news and hearing about some really bad stuff going on somewhere in the world, and I feel downright bad. Why does all this stuff happen? Why do bad things happen to good people? What have children done to deserve this kind of treatment? You know the kind of thing. And I get upset and then angry, then guilty. I should be doing something about it….it’s not enough to send money, or donate to a project.

But it is. Sometimes that’s all we can do. We do what we can do and then we live our lives the best that we can. People who are in the dark, need people to be doing good things on their behalf. If I’m feeling down, I need to know that somewhere in some distant part of the world, or maybe my neighbor right next door, is praying for good things to happen. Thinking good thoughts. Being grateful for what they have.

So then I need to be that person too. Praying for good things. Feeling grateful for the things I have. Being happy, sending out good thoughts. If we want this planet to be a great place, we need to take the right action and think the right thoughts. Right action means doing what you know is the right thing. Not spreading gossip. Standing up for a friend. Loving the people in our family. Caring for friends and neighbors. Being grateful. So for today, be grateful for everything that you have…for the water in your tap, for the heat in your home, for the food on your table and for the friends who lend a helping hand. Expect to be amazing and amazing things will happen. Rock N Roll Val & Jeff
